Story Starter Writing Workshop for Grades 2–4 ✏️📚

Calling all young writers! The Barrington Council for the Gifted & Talented (BCGT) invites students in grades 2–4 to join us for a fun, interactive Story Starter Writing Workshop, in partnership with Ben Fiedor, PhD.

Students will explore creative story starters, build characters, and learn how to bring their ideas to life on the page—all in an engaging, small-group setting designed for young writers.

During the workshop, students will:

• 📖 Develop storytelling and creative writing skills

• ✏️ Explore story ideas, characters, settings, problems, and solutions

• 💭 Use their imagination to begin developing their own stories

• 👥 Learn and write in a supportive, small-group environment
