About the Event

Dreams, Grit, Joy & Gratitude

Can't attend? Register and receive the recording.  You can listen to it "on the go"!

Hope is a skill and takes work; gratitude  can be practiced and learned.

“Grit is sticking with your future, day in, day out, not just for the week, not just for the month, but for years, and working really hard to make that future a reality. Grit is living life like it’s a marathon, not a sprint.” – Angela Lee Duckworth

The November Monthly Wisdom event is specially created to inspire students, parents, and educators to have a collective focus and curiosity on: Dreams, Grit, Joy & Gratitude.

We invite you to join a virtual + interactive + real-time coaching with Teen & Parent Coach Sheri Gazitt, M.A., and Neuroscientist & Stress Researcher Pam Coburn-Litvak, PhD AAC HLC to support and encourage your child on their journey to success while prioritizing their mental health above all else.

As a parent, you can help your child explore their dreams, build their grit, and find their joy. Too often, today’s teens are pushed to strive and excel but their WHY gets lost in the mix. And when their WHY is lost, their dreams fade, their grit is inaccessible, and their joy is overlooked. This combination has an awful effect on mental health. Just like physical health, mental health must be nurtured.

When life gets tough, grit is what helps us keep going, anyway. According to psychologist Angela Duckworth, nurturing positive emotions like gratitude are key to building grit. But why? How exactly does gratitude make us grittier? In this session, we will explore the link between these two tools and how they boost mental health. We will also discuss simple exercises to build more gratitude and grit every day.
