BCGT Student Book Club! 📚✨

Welcome to Our BCGT Book Club Adventure! 📚✨

We’re excited to officially kick off the BCGT Book Club for 3rd–5th grade students! This is a fun opportunity for students from across District 220 to read great chapter books, share ideas, and connect with other kids who enjoy reading.

Thank you to all of the students and families who completed our Book Club survey! Our students shared so many wonderful suggestions, and they have officially made their first selection!

💬 What Will Book Club Be Like?

This is meant to be fun and social—no essays or tests! Students will have a chance to talk about characters, mysteries and clues, favorite moments, predictions, surprises, and what they liked (or didn’t like!) about the story.

The goal is to give our 3rd–5th graders a welcoming place to read, discuss, explore, and make new friends while connecting with other students from across District 220.

❄️ What Comes Next?

After we finish our first book, students will help choose our second Book Club selection. We plan to read that book over the winter, with Part 1 in January and Part 2 in February. Details for the second book and winter meeting dates will be shared with participating families once they are finalized.
