Barrington Council for the Gifted and Talented
The Barrington Council for the Gifted and Talented is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization of parents whose common goal is to serve as a resource and advocate to talented students, their families and those who educate our children.
Community and Advocacy
We are a community of members who facilitate connections between families of highly capable children to help further their knowledge of how to best support their children academically, socially and emotionally.
"Talent is given to us by our nature. Greatness, by our efforts.”
- Mokokoma Mokhonoana
Creating a community for students and their families
We host several events during the school year, including Game Night, Science Night, Career Exploration nights and others. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer or get involved in our community.
Grants: Supporting our schools
Supporting teachers who make a difference
The majority of our membership fees go towards grants for our extended programs and classrooms. This includes academic competitions and events, software, supplies and furniture for classrooms.
Become a member
Members get free admission to events, can join our community online forum and help fund grants. We meet monthly to discuss upcoming events, various topics and share updates in extended services in district 220.
